In a move poised to transform Himachal Pradesh’s educational landscape, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has announced the establishment of the state's first science college in Hamirpur. This ambitious project, pegged at an estimated Rs 100 crore, has already seen an initial release of Rs 20 crore. The announcement was made during the annual function of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Memorial College, where Sukhu outlined his vision to bolster the region's academic credentials.
But the plans don’t stop there. Hamirpur is also set to welcome an AIIMS-level ayurvedic institute, underscoring the government’s commitment to integrating traditional medicine with cutting-edge scientific research. The institute will span an impressive 74 acres, promising to become a centre of excellence in Ayurvedic studies and research.
