India's New RSVC-AMRIT Platform: A Boost for Rural Innovation
In an ambitious move to invigorate rural India, the nation's Principal Scientific Adviser, Ajay Kumar Sood, has unveiled the RSVC-AMRIT platform, a digital initiative crafted by NABARD. The platform aims to accelerate rural innovation and technological adoption, a crucial step as India embarks on its journey towards 'Viksit Bharat 2047', a vision for a developed India by its centenary of independence.
The RSVC-AMRIT platform, short for 'Accelerated Medium for Rural Innovation and Technology Transfer', seeks to bridge the gap between advanced technologies and rural communities. It promises to provide a conduit for validated technologies to enter the rural sphere, ensuring they meet local needs and conditions.
At the heart of this initiative is the RuTAGe Smart Village Centre ecosystem, which will serve as the primary interface for technology transfer. Here, rural innovators and communities can interact with cutting-edge technology solutions tailored to enhance agricultural productivity, improve health outcomes, and support sustainable practices.

The launch comes at a time when the Indian government is increasingly emphasising the importance of technology in addressing rural challenges.
