Naidu Champions Eco-Friendly Construction for Andhra Pradesh

Naidu Champions Eco-Friendly Construction for Andhra Pradesh

In a stirring call to arms for environmental stewardship, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has set his sights on transforming the state's construction practices. At a recent gathering, he laid out a vision where eco-friendly construction is not merely an option but a necessity. With the spectre of climate change looming large, Naidu's proposal aims to position Andhra Pradesh as a frontrunner in India's renewable energy sector.

Naidu has pledged that the state will align itself with the national objective of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil power capacity by 2030. His ambitious plans involve the development of 165 GW of renewable energy capacity, focusing on solar power. "It is imperative that we adopt net-zero principles, integrate solar power, and enforce effective water conservation measures," Naidu remarked, urging collective responsibility towards environmental protection.

Amaravati: A Green City in the Making

The Chief Minister is particularly keen on developing Amaravati as a model environment-friendly city. With meticulous planning, the city is set to be a beacon of sustainable urban living. Naidu's administration intends to implement state-of-the-art waste management systems and promote the use of eco-friendly materials in construction.

Elsewhere, in the industrial city of Visakhapatnam, Naidu has committed to tackling pollution levels. Measures include the introduction of dedicated cycling and walking tracks to encourage eco-friendly transportation, particularly in areas surrounding the port and industrial zones.

A Broader Vision for the State

Beyond infrastructure, Naidu has launched a massive green drive, aiming to plant five crore saplings. This initiative underscores his broader vision of a greener Andhra Pradesh and is supported by forest advisor Komera Ankarao. The Chief Minister's comprehensive approach combines policy initiatives with community engagement, reflecting a sincere commitment to environmental sustainability.

Naidu's vision is clear: Andhra Pradesh must rise as a leader in eco-friendly growth, setting an example for other states to follow. His call for action is not just a political declaration but a clarion call for a sustainable future.
