Prayagraj Junction's Civil Lines to Transform into Entertainment Hotspot
In a bold move to revitalise its urban landscape, Prayagraj Junction's Civil Lines side is on the cusp of transformation into a dynamic entertainment hub. The project, spearheaded by local authorities, aims to blend leisure with convenience, offering amenities that appeal to both travellers and residents.
Central to this development is the introduction of a pod hotel, ingeniously set up in the old booking office near the now-dismantled footbridge. These compact yet comfortable pods, measuring eight feet by six feet, provide an affordable resting place with prices ranging from ₹500 to ₹1,500 for a 12-hour stay. This novel accommodation option promises to attract budget-conscious travellers seeking a respite during their journey.
Complementing the pod hotel is an access-controlled basement parking facility, addressing the perennial issue of parking in urban centres. This strategic addition is expected to ease congestion, thereby enhancing the overall visitor experience.
Dr Sharma, a key figure in this initiative, emphasised the project's dual focus on modernising passenger amenities while simultaneously crafting a contemporary commercial identity for the station precinct. 'Our vision is to create a space that serves as both a gateway and a destination,' he noted.
As Prayagraj gears up for this transformation, the anticipation is palpable. The development is not merely about infrastructure; it is about positioning the city as a vibrant urban destination, a place where culture and commerce converge seamlessly. In doing so, Prayagraj Junction is set to become more than just a transit point—it will be a place to pause, explore, and enjoy.
