Hirsave's journey began in a science class that sparked her interest in renewable energy. Curious and driven, she embarked on a project titled 'Micro'fat'ories: Increasing microalgal biomass and lipids for biofuel production.' Her method involved subjecting algae to a regimen of vitamins for three days, followed by a high-salt treatment for two days. This combination amplified the algae's lipid production, a critical component for biofuels.
