Zee Entertainment Faces Profit Slump Amid Tax and Advertising Woes
Zee Entertainment Enterprises has found itself in choppy waters as it disclosed a staggering 48% plummet in its net profit for the quarter ending in June. The figures, which stand at ₹74.3 crore, starkly contrast the ₹143.7 crore reported during the same period last year.
This sharp decline has largely been chalked up to increased tax liabilities and a significant drop in advertising revenue, which fell by 11%. Advertising woes have been partly attributed to the ongoing Middle East crisis, which has affected the global advertising market.
