Amidst the serene backdrop of Lake Geneva, the 79th World Health Assembly (WHA) concluded its session, marking another pivotal chapter in global health governance. As the primary decision-making body of the World Health Organization (WHO), the assembly gathered delegates from 193 member states to deliberate on pressing health challenges.
This year's assembly, held from 18th to 23rd May, delved into issues of universal health coverage, seeking ways to bridge the stark inequalities in healthcare access that persist globally. With the recent backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, the discussions took on added urgency as countries shared their experiences and strategies.
